Id state
I was just wondering how long my ex husband has to inform me that he is moving with the new address and phone number. He and I had a "discussion" in which he told me he was moving, but that he didnt know the address and that the phone might take a while to get reconnected. which is hogwash, but anyway just curious.

If it does not state it in your divorce decree then call an attorney and ask. That should be a free call. Also when he does move then you can usually call information and get his new address and phone number. You get to be a good detective when you have to be.

New law in Texas is he is to give you thirty days notice of move, and notify you of known address within at least 7 days. That is so you have time to file a Motion to Modify to keep him from moving. Texas is very strong on keeping kids near both parents, and case law is very strong against letting kids move off long distances. Contact a local attorney, if you can't afford one, call legal aid.

Well he may not know, so I think you need to work with him. he may be staying at a hotel, with friends, etc... as it usually takes folks up to 30 days to get a place and sometimes longer to get a phone when they move.
