Just a question. I currently work for a small business (like 5 employees). We use a computerized system to clock in & out every day. According to the system, I frequently work 40.1, 40.2 hours, sometimes I have worked 41 hours. My employer always just lops it off and only pays 40 hours. Now I know .1 isn't much, but when it's every week for a year, .1 suddenly becomes a lot more. Is she allowed to just round it down or does she have to pay us?

She can round off within reasonable amounts as long as the employer does so in a consistent manner that does not unduly favor the employee.

So...if she's rounding you back (for example) to 5pm even if you work until 5:10, she also has to round your pay back to 8am if you arrive to work late for up to 10 minutes. She can't round forward at the start of the shift and back at the end of the shift.
