Iowa laws? I was on a lease purchase, put down money and after 2 years had to complete improvements, I have. It was put into my name at the courthouse with their name on the deed. I am paying a private trust fund. I pay insurance, taxes all to them with the mortgage payment.
I have had my vehicle stolen, neighbors threaten to kill my dogs, kids break car windows and neighbors idiot parties on weekends. Prior to that, I had to have a welfare idiot evicted from the noise and problems.
I have upgraded the electrical service, replaced plumbing, built deck and enclosed, sided and roofed the barn and garage and landscaped the lot. Needless to say painted and remodeled interior to upgrade. I put money down, but on the contract they did not put the $7,000 that was applied so I guess they did not have to pay the taxes on that money. So, I have the original agreement that states that, but the contract does not reference that, only the lowered price amount for the purchase.
I am having physical problems, lack of sleep, stress, etc from all the idiots wandering around the neighborhood. Now the senile old nosey hag next door is calling the city if I breathe wrong, tells us to get a job.. we have 2 full time jobs that pay more than she can dream of... Her tree fell on our fence, she refuses to pay on damages to the privacy fence we had to install after they harassed us daily that we were on her yard. We had the lot surveyed, laid cement, and put up a privacy fence. So, now, we can't have any privacy yet, she shines her lights directly in our house and in my eyes on the deck. so, we are in the process of enclosing the porch so she can't continue to stalk us. She has been nosey since day one and only migraines since. *(Her daughter was going to buy the house, but did not have any money, so that told me her motives)
Back to my original question, since it is land contract for 14 more years, I have equity in the house, I don't want to just up and move and lose my investment. Can't I just sell it, give them the balance I owe them and get the profit from the rest?
(In the past this house people move 3-4x a year and they keep the $$ and re sell it etc, and this time, I am not leaving without some profit, from the *^#! I have had to live with. My peace of mind is worth more than living with that senile old hag next door. Any ideas?
