Yes.

What kind of law are you looking for? Protection from what?

While YOU may be a kind and honest employer, most aren't. Unfortunately, for Florida's many members of the general workforce, the labor laws in Florida do SO much to protect the employers, but next to nothing to protect the employees. This is a great state to live in if you are a business owner. But, Florida is a HORRIBLE state for the "Average Joe" to try and earn a decent living. Florida labor laws make it hard for those of us who get screwed over by an employer. We are just trying to survive!! There are SOOOO many ways that employers can (LEGALLY, yet VERY IMMORALLY) screw over the little guy who, by the way, is breaking their back, racking their brains, killing their personal lives and/or working a million hours a week, all the while affording his employer a very comfortable lifestyle. If all employers had a conscience, it wouldn't be a big deal. But in reality, they will take you for one hell of a ride a ride, as fast as they can, because they can.

And you felt it necessary to resurrect a 3 year old post to say this?
