Hi. Here in Illinois, when we are sent home for lack of work, we are required to call in every few hours to see if we are needed. Our employer also may call us off at the being of the shift and put us on call and have us call in every few hours also. We are not compensated for this, we have to call them,they do not call us, and the day off is not our own. With the way our employer is doing this,is it legal? Hoping it is against the law. Thanks
