My wife just got done with court issues against her ex he broke into our house, and for some money he owed her, and now we are starting a custody case involving her son. Well since then her ex's mom has started working at her place of employment and is now one of her unit managers and is now trying to get info about her from everyone she works with there. because she has been there for 5 years and knows everyone is this legal and is there anything we can do to get her fired from working there?

is there anything we can do to get her fired from working there? No. And if your wife sets out to try and "get her fired," then your wife could well end up being the individual who is unemployed.

What your wife should do is go to HR or the approrpriate person in senior management and briefly explain the situation and that there is what is a custody battle about to take place involving herself and this manager's son who is her ex-husband. (Management does NOT want to know all the ugly details of the situation.) Your wife should tell them that because of this and because she wants to keep all of this as far away as possible from the workplace, having her ex-mother-in-law as one of her unit managers is far from ideal as it's an acrimonious situation.

Management doesn't have to do anything but it's possible they will entertain transferring your wife or the mother-in-law into a different position where they aren't in the same orbit. It will be important that your wife deal with this professionally, unemotionally, and that she be reasonable.
