Our security (garage gate) has been stuck open for three day's now. The mgr knows, and has called the owner and the people that suppose to fix the gate.
In the mean time, there has been property stolen out of the parking garage.

What I need to know, is the owner liable in anyway? or at any point?. I did call the owner and notified him that there has been some theft of property already.

THX.

sounds like the property management company would be the first party you would pursue since they are the ones who send out folks to repair the property and the owner contracted with them; but if you sued, you could sue both possibly for losses or file insurance claims against the property management company's liability policy; i suggest consultation with a local attorney to determine the best approach

Im located in West LA, CA, and am a renter whose recently had his vehicle stolen from the garage. I've found out from the police that there have been many, approximately 6 stolen vehicles from this garage in the past 6 months.

There are no gates on the garage, but I have demanded that some preventions be put in place, which have fallen on deaf ears.

I'd like to persuade the owners to get the ball rolling, is there anything I can do?

Thanks,

Dustin
