I Work In The State Of California. My Question Is, Do I Get Paid Overtime For Working 6 Days Stright? Or Does My Ending Of My Pay Period Kill It For Me. My Ending Pay Period Was On 9/10/05[sat] I Worked That Day. But Sun 9/11/05 Started The New Pay Period. I Worked That Day As Well As Mon,tues, wed, thurs. So My Question Is, Since I Worked Sat -thurs. Do Iget Overtime For Working 6 Days In A Row.{8 Hrs} Beacuz Our Computer At Work Is Not Able To See That I Have Worked 6 In A Row, Because Of The Ending Of The Pay Period On 9/10/05 And The Start Of The New One 9/11/05.

Here are the regulations on California overtime.

To your point, there is no premium required solely for working on the sixth consecutive day in a work week. Each workweek stands alone. And I am assuming that your workweek ending coincides with the pay period ending.
So, unless your 6th day work hours take you either over 40 hours for the week (excess of 40 at 1.5 overtime), 8 hours for that day (for 1.5 overtime), or 12 hours for that day (excess of 12 at double-time). The employer is not required to "pyramid" overtime. In other words, the premium that gives the best advantage to the employee is the one that is required, but multiple premium payments are not legally required.
