Hi I would like to get some information if I could. My husband worked for the parks department in the city we live in missouri.. He was given a Mandatory Improvement Plan on Jan.10, 2004, Feb. 20, 2004 he was injuried at work, He had surgery and was at home for a few weeks, He returned under light duty, no sittin for long periods of time, no lifting of 10 lbs, no climbin up and down out of the trucks.. they had him either painting barrels or washing flower pots. He returned to full duty May 10,2004. June 22 He was fired from His job because they said he didnt successfully complete the Mandatory Improvent Plan* they rate them for a 6 month period* how can he improve when He was on workers compensation and on light duty at the time of the rating? So therefore how can they fire him over this??
