Today on the long holiday I recieved a bill in the mail. This bill is invoicing me for a very large sum of money. This bill is the result of the company terminated a "public service" over 5 years ago. It seems that the "public service" has pursued a fee based on a early terminated contract. I signed this contract on behalf of my employer. My employer has negotiated a settlement with the "public service". My employer with out any warning has issued me an invoice. I fear that this my be used to terminated me upon my return to work. Is this legal? Can an employer hold me responsible for services/contracts? Can an employer fire me for due cause? I feel that I have been harassed since the invoice came from my immediate supervisor without be warned of his intention. The intention that I percieved by the way this has been handle is that they want me to be the stool pigeon for there mistake which has costed the company a very large sum. Please advise
