 I recently quit my job of 4 years to a place that is closer to home. With gas proces who wouldn't. The place i am working for now does not pay materinty leave to new employees. My question is this: Does my old place of work pay for my materinty leave. Or is there any way I can collect money during my leave of absense? Thanks so much. Any help is good help

The only state where employers are required to provide PAID medical/maternity leave is California, and even then (I believe) only in some circumstances (I could be wrong about that part).

Your old employer is not going to pay you for your maternity leave. Why should they? You don't work for them any more. If your new employer is willing to provide it, that's fine, but they're not required to by law. If they have a policy that says you have to have been there for x amount of time before you are eligible for paid leave, and you haven't been there that long, you're going to have to take unpaid leave.
