i live in texas and my 2 older sisters lived in oklahoma 8 years ago when my oldest sister took my older sisters children to the dhs and told them that she had abandoned them. me and my younger sister who lives in kansas wrote letters telling them that we didn't want them in foster care that we would take care of the kids and the judge said that they were wards of the state of oklahoma and that they were not leaving oklahoma. my older sister's parental rights were revoked in 2001 and her children were adopted by their foster parents. my family has sent cards, letters, and gifts and we just found out that the only thing they received were a few of the pictures that we sent. they were told that our family didn't care about them. we were able to meet with them this weekend and i received a call when i got home that they are being mistreated and abused by the adopted parents. the two oldest girls 16&1/2 and 17&1/2 are not even staying with them right now because of the abuse but their 2 brother are still in the home. when the adoption was going through in 2002 what little contact we had was lost and later the "dad" said that he didn't want anything to interfer with the adoption. being a blood relative do i have any rights to get these kids? can the kids choose where they want to live? their biological grandmother was not even given a chance to get the kids and does she have any rights to these kids?

My question- why did you all not go to Oklahoma to adopt the kids if you wanted them that badly?
Too late for Grandmother, maybe if you can get bio father who had no notice.
