I have worked for my employer now for almost a year, i have always been paid every week just about on time. What i mean is some times friday or my be saturday, sunday, or even monday or tuesday. Anyway for a while we had problams with funding not be there to cash our checks, this went on and off for weeks. And now he hasnt paid us for going on four weeks now.
He got arrested for theft by converson, and conversion of real estate property inprovements a few weeks ago, but hes out walking the streets because of who he knows. Weve stayed with him so far but not getting paid he's almost left me and my partner homeless and starving..........
We are employed with him, we have no set wage. We normaly get paid by the job with an amount aggreed up front.
CAN ANYBODY HELP ME?????????????

1. Try the Georgia Dept of Labor. Georgia laws and enforcement procedures are pretty weak, but if they can't help, they may be able to point you in the right direction.

2. Start looking for another job NOW! There's no point in working if you aren't getting paid. That's called a volunteer.
