I am a new employee with a company that has what they call mandatory overtime. I have heard stories of the company working seven days a week at time of up to twelve hours a day. Is this legal and if not how many days can they work you until they do have to give you a day off.

I could not find any law in Indiana requiring a day off after working X number of days. Our state law guru should be around shortly to confirm (or deny).

Although there are a few states that require up to one day off out of every seven (which means you can work up to 12 days in a row) Indiana does not appear to be one of them.

That being the case, what your employer is doing is legal, even if somewhat foolish.
