I work for a company in Texas. My stillman becomes very irrate and curses and screams whenever she has to come outside and work. She is always making smart remarks and putting me down. I work very hard to please her....but we just can not get along. I went to the proper office and made a complaint. I was told and assured that she would be talked to and that my name would definitely be left out of any conversation with her. During this time...i was on vacation. While i was on vacation......i came in to a meeting that i generally do every month. This meeting requires that i go into the area where i work and do onsite training. In order to do this, i have to go to my locker an get the appropiate safety clothing. After getting dressed i proceeded into the main area (which is located inside) just to say hello to a few friends. I spoke to the first person (i seen), a good friend. The first thing that came out of his mouth was .."i heard about you turning****into the main office". I simply said " i don't care to discuss that". I soon found out that everyone there knew. I found out that a boss had called her outside a few days earlier and had told her about me making the complaint. Afterward, she came inside and blurted it out loud to everyone. I go back to work in 6 days, after my vacation is over. There is no doubt that she will retalliate...and not only that.....an upper boss squealed on me. Were my rights violated or what? I was assured that this would be in confidence and that my name would not be mentioned.
