My husband is an auto tech at at a local car dealership (Colorado). His employer has just made a new policy that the techs will not get paid for a job until the customer has paid the dealership. Is this legal? Thanks.

In the normal scheme of things I'd say no, it was not legal, but just recently someone who is in a position to know told me that there are some kind of funky laws with regards to auto techs. She didn't go into detail. So I guess the best answer I can give you is probably not, but check with your state DOL to be certain.
