i work in a lab that only has one person per shift (12hr) thru an agency..recently i hurt myself outside of work. and i can not walk to well. and my job requires me to be on my feet a lot. well here is my issue, i had to my agency to tell the company to get someone to help me on the shift cause i am unable to walk that well. they came back after talking to the company and told me that i would need to see a doctor and get a release to work. also they did not want me to get anymore hurt on the job. then after several hours, they realized that there is no one that is able to cover the shift or help me out. The company Ok the agency for me to go to work without seeing a doctor or getting a note to OK for work.

Is my Agency and The Company in violation of OSHA's regulations?

please Advise....

I don't see any OSHA violations here.

I can think of several other possible issues depending on facts we do not have, but nothing involving OSHA.

Sorry, I misread the post initially. I thought it said you hurt yourself ON the job. I was thinking of workers comp issues.
