fl.-I recently noticed at work that they are many employees including myself that have been shorted hours out of thier paycheck. I addressed my manager a month ago and they are still looking into it. Granted my check is only a few hours shorted. But it is the principal, they dock every minute your late. So I expect to be paid every minute I work! Isn't there something I can do about them dragging thier feet to pay me? Wouldn't that be considered theft of services? Also you have to work 8mins after your shift end to get paid ot. Isn't it by law that you are paid for every minute you work? I have never heard of a 7 minute grace period that you are not paid for to qualify for overtime pay.pls help with feedback.
Rounding is permitted for paycheck purposes as long as it works both ways. If you clock in at 8:08 is is legal to start paying you at 8:15, as long as when you clock in at 8:03 you are paid from 8:00.

Is there something that shay14 can do about the employer dragging their feet to pay? I am in a similar situation where my paycheck was shorted in error 3 hours and the employer has acknowledged this but going on 3 pay periods now they have not paid. Each time, I'm told "we forgot, sorry we'll pay you next check". When I ask for a special check to be cut, I'm told no because it is easier for the Accounting Dept to put it on the paycheck and pay out of a payroll account.
Please advise. I love this site!
