I was teaching at a preschool but will be unable to return
for the next school year as I am in graduate school and am required
to complete a full time student teaching placement. Am I eligible
for UI, since I did have to quit through no fault of my own? I have spoken
to several people who say that they did qualify for UI while they completed their student teaching. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just want to know if I have a chance before I start wasting resources

Thanks!

That is entirely up to your state UI office.

I'm not sure what resources you will be wasting by applying. All it takes is a few minutes and there is no penalty for being wrong.

I just didnt want to waste anyones time or make it appear that I am trying
to get something that I am not entitled to. I just wanted to be a bit more educated about the process before I decided to follow through, but you are right, I will go ahead and file. Thanks
