I am seeking child support and my baby's father lives in
another state. When I file my "complaint for paternty" to
request child support do I need to include anything about
custody? I am sure that the state he lives in has no jurisdiction
to determine custody.

You can file where you live, and preferred jurisdiction is where child is at. Where father is at is a possible jurisdiction, but not the preferred one.
