I Currently Have Joint Primary Physical Custody Of My Son I Lived In Indana And His Father Lived In Michigan. Recently My Soon To Be Husband Got A Great Job Offer In Florida We Traveled There For 2 Weeks To See If It Was Something We Would Even Consider And Then We Decided That We Would Discus This With My Oldest Sons Father...( Me And My Fiance' Also Have A Son Together And Have Been Together For 5 Years. ) After Discussing This With The Father In Michigan And He Agreed That It Was Okay And I Told Him That I Would Let Him Have Our Son For The Whole Summer Break, Spring Breaks And Winter Breaks At My Financial Expense. After Taking My Son To Him For The Summer We Went Ahead And Moved Then I Have Been Trying To Call And I Have To Deal With His Girlfriend Making Physical Threats To Me And My Family, Completely Slandering My Name And Me As A Mother, And Told Me They Were Not Giving Him Back! I Recently Flew Back To Indiana Because He Said He Would Give Him Back If I Came There To Meet Him But After I Get Here He Wont Do It. The Police Wont Get Involved In A Civil Case They Said I Have To Take It Through The Courts But Its Already Documented That I Have Physical Custody And I Want To Fly Back To Florida So I Can Get Married (which We Have Put Off Now Because Of This) And Be With My Family..... Please Help Me

Go pick up the son and if they do not let you take him, call the police, hand them a copy of the court order giving you custody and ask them to enforce it. The police cannot refuse to come out and ahve to make a report. Even if they do nothing, which they should not if you have a valid court order, you have a police report to take to court and then ask the court to give you sole custody of the kid and limit the father's visitation to supervised visitation if he is going to be hostile as he is now, and he is going to have the child around a girlfriend who hurls profanities, which you may want to document. That sounds like a bad environment for the kid. You will have to physically go pick up the child.
