The child lives in Indiana, my husband is on disabilty. They have been taking childsupport and arrears out of him since she was 7 years old. This has taken up almost his total check. I been working hard since we been together for 12 years now. We found out along time ago that she hasn't been reseving child support because the grandmother has been pocketing the money and the child has been on the run since she was 15 years old. moving from one place to another, then to her boy friend where she stayed and stopped going to school. She is now 18 , going to 19 in septemeber. this past year she has married and had a child with this man, And yet we can't get the child support to stop. He paid his dues, and now its just dragging along.what can we do to get this stopped. I have 5 kids of my own to worry about. needless to say my children are suffering because of this.i had no problem with him paying child support at all but now its ower time since shes got a family of her own. not to mention, im needing a very much rest my self, its hard since he cant work, i feel alone in this. especially my oldest childs father has never paid child support. And hes been court order so many times he has had warrants for his arrest. but what are warrants if they dont enforce them.... please help me

The CS should stop, but only if ALL arrears are paid in full. Is your husband on SSDI ? If so, then he may be able to give the social security office a copy of the CS order, proof of daughter's age and marital status, and they may be able to stop the garnishment without having to go to court.

go to http://www.in.gov/judiciary/selfservice/forms.html
Sounds like you need to file veriied petition to terminate child support based on emancipation of minor children; in your case emancipation by age and marriage
I suggest consulting an attorney, but the forms are something you can file yourself also.
