View Full Version : Promotion Discrimination? (OR)

Greetings,

Recently, I applied for a promotion at work. I was told that the only reason I could not receive this promotion is because one of the people that I would be supervising (if promoted) would be my fiance. Is this a valid/lawful reason or does this count as some form of discrimination?

Thanks in advance for any replies :)

It is both legal and valid, and does not consitute any form of illegal discrimination. It is VERY unwise for anyone to have a relative, spouse, fiancee, etc. in their direct reporting line.
