my ex hasn't paid child support for over 4 years.he paints houses but doesn't have a business license. when you call his number his message thanks you for calling his "company" and asks that you leave a message and either him or one of his associates will get back to you.
I know he is making good money because he just got hired to paint a senator's beach house after his last job,( a lawer's law offices) referred him. the lawer is friends with the senator.
he has worked steady all these years but is pleading broke. He lives with his girlfriend of a year and a half who is a school teacher and claims she takes care of him financially.
he has threatened to fight for custody if I take him to court for child support.but I'm getting desperate. :(

He may make money, but after paying employees and contractors, may not have as much as you think. So a creative suggestion is to find out he gets paid by getting subpoenas to get that information from those who are hiring and paying him, but be careful because then it may make him lose work then he may really have no means of support.
