i am the legal father to a child and my wife would like to adopt my child. we have the biological moms ok. my question is about the backgroung check. i have a domestic violence convition on my record and i know that i need to pass the check too. will i pass the check with a d.v. on my record

If you are the legal father, then the mother is going thru the adoption, not you, so I do not think checks would be done on you or anythign like that. Consult a local adoption attorney.

I do not have enough info to answer this, but likely just the mother is going to be investigated in terms of criminal record.
