1. divorced 11 years and remarried 8
2. I have physical custody of the only child now almost 12 yrs old
3. father moved to fl 8 yrs ago and visits for 10 days once a year
4. child support through the county support collection unit is garnished
5. father WAS paying half of all medical expenses
6. has paid NOTHING more than garnished support since 8/03

Do I take my receipts to the support collection unit, small claims court or family court for enforcement of a previous order? :confused:

First, make sure the order is still valid and current. If it is, talk to the father directly and try to make an arrangement before going to court. If you went to court, they would probably add his half on to child support due.

I have made the demand for the balance in full, I have even worked with him in the past on payment arrangements. I also have made my request in writing and have his direct refusal to pay in his written response.

Which entity should I take this to?
