Hi,

2 weeks ago, my mother had a stroke. She lives on the west side of washington while i live on the east side. I have been looking for work over in seattle to be closer to my mother. I informed my employer that I am looking for work over there but have not given any notice and will not do so until I find a new position.

The thing is, im worried that they might terminate me before I have the ability to find a position over there. Can they legally do this?
