My ex husband and I have been divorced for 2 years and he does not follow visitation guidelines at all. He keeps my son only during the mornings on his weekends most of the time, he never exercises his Wednesdays, and I've told him 5 times that he is supposed to have him for 6 weeks in the summer and he just blows me off. I've been very lenient with him so far but I'm sick of it! I can't ever plan anything on his weekends because I have to wait and see if he is going to bring my son home. Sometimes he works on his weekends, but I don't think that should be my problem. I've told him that he could take his visitations on his days off instead of when it's scheduled but he never does. I've asked him to help me pay for a baby-sitter on his weekends when I had a part time job and he said "it wasn't his problem and that's what my child support is for". Can I take him to court for contempt, and if I do what will they do to him?

You can take him to court for contempt, but I am not sure they could really do anything. His behavior is an inconvenience for you, but about all I think you can do is try to get childcare costs added to his support obligation, which if they are legitimate, I believe the court would accept.
