Hello,
I have a huge problem, my son and I live in nebraska, which he had to become a ward of the state due to no fault of mine. Well the state took the child support that my ex was paying me, they also ordered me to pay, plus also got his social security. Since I am disabled my son and I both get ss. Well when he first went in to foster care. I was only seeing him about 2 days a week. Well now we are working on reunifcation. Now I have my son 4 to 5 days a week and also transporting him to and from his job. I have been trying to get some of the child support back from the state since I have him so much of the time. I have been running in to dead ends and circles trying to get any answers. I can not afford to get attorney and also all the free aid are not excepting any new cases at this time. I need to know what I can do to get the child support back. I am having a hard time putting gas in my car and putting food on the table when he is here. PLEASE HELP

Thanks for listening

You likely will not get the support back, but just file papers with the court to get the support stopped. You may have to write it all out by hand and file with the court, but just do it since you cannot get free legal assistance.

Would you know what papers I need to file to get the childsupport stoped. What happens to the childsupport once I have it stopped? My ex is the one who is paying the childsupport and it is going to the state.
