I live in Arkansas, am divorced from my first husband (Sean), and have custody of our 5 year old son. Sean also has a 14 yr old son from a previous relationship. He pays child support to both of us but he gets a $10 weekly deduction from both of us for having a child with the other person. I am now remarried and we are pregnant with our first child together. My new husband pays support on 2 children from his previous marriage. Do you know if we are also entitled to a weekly deduction from his child support payments for the birth of our new child or was that just something that the lawyers came up with on their own during my divorce? I've looked online but I can't find anything about a deduction for the non-custodial parent for more children.

Usually, it is a policy in many states' child support guidelines to adjust support for children and support obligations incurred in subsequent marriages and relationships.
