It depends. You should ask your international student adviser about this.
Be careful to work no more than one year in F-1 OPT status. If the "on
SEVIS" expiration date is too early, maybe your international office can
perform a "fix" in the SEVIS software. There are all sorts of problems, and
there are all sorts of "workarounds."
