I work for a fairly large company in North Carolina. I am concerned about rather there are any laws concerning pay during maternity leave. My benefits dept. said I would just be "allowed" to keep my job, Is thislegal?

Pay during maternity leave is typically handled through the short-term disability plan of your employer. Depending upon your length of service, you may be entitled to all or a portion of your salary for the duration of your leave. You should check with your Human Resources Department to determine your eligibility under the plan. * Find more information on Disability Law. |
