I had to go to court for my child support hearing this past week. It was delayed. I learned from lady who was seeking child support that not only could I get child support but back support and an order for him to pay on medical bills as well. My husband left me with all the bills and took several hundred dollars from me while I was in the hospital having our child. Is there anything else he can be ordered to pay under the child support laws here in the state of Arkansas?

I do not know if this is in the context of a divorce, but you can go for spousal support. Usually, child support can be back support, ongoing support, portion of daycare, medical, school costs, and if you do not have it, ask him to provide health insurance for the child.

This is a child support case only but I may be filing for divorce in the near future.
