I am very frusrated!!!! My ex and I divorced 4 years ago. We had joint custody of our 2 children. 1 week by 1 week. To make a long story short jis family has money. I remarried 2 years ago and my husband was offered a killer job in Amarillo, Tx. We moved. Ofcourse at the time I did not have the money to fight my ex and his parents money so I left the kids with him. I was orderd to pay 474.00 a month with the agreement he held insurance. He is remarried with 2 kids and 1 on the way. I am to have visitation and unlimited visits and contact with my kids. I was diagnised in November with cervical and uterine cancer and fell behind do to hospitilization and medical bills. Now hw won't let me see them or let them come visit me in Tx. He makes my kids call his new wifw mom b/c he said it confuses the other kids. I atleast want my kids to be avle to visit me if not live with me. I'm goin crazy!!! He said when I get caught up I can see them on his terms. I have drove the 9 hours to see them and have him change his mind. I can't even talk to them without his wife listening to our conversation on the other phone and tellin them what they can and can't say. Does she have rightrs? What do I do???? Please Help!!!!!!!

I know this must be very hard for you because I'm battling with child support myself. Go back to the court that issued the custody and support order, seek primary physical custody of the kids and a modification of the support based on your illness and inability to bring in income like you used to. You also should seek a contempt order because support and custody are separate and you are not supposed to keep a child from their mother and have the step mom be called mom because you are late on support. You need to do these things asap. I know it is not easy with what you are going thru, but you need to do it and do it on an emergency basis. It is like he is already treating you like you are dead and just because you have cancer does not mean you will die as many people recover and go into remission and stay there for life.
