My boyfriend was just in for a support hearing, and the mother said in court that there son is an adult and she can not tell him what to do. He has a job, and is up on criminal charges and will be going to court and jail. The hearing officer said pusuant to 23 Pa. (s.4321(2) the order remains in affect. What is that order? He is 18 teen flunked and will be spending another year in 12th grade. It is my understanding that after the age 19 the courts can not force you to pay. Is this true?

Until the kid finishes 12th grade or drops out and does not return, or is declared an emancipated minor by a court, support continues. And even if the support is terminated, collection continues until arrearages are paid.
