Just a brief question for the state of New Hampshire. Are inmates protected under any labor laws? My son (who by the way is a terrific kid, just at the wrong place at the wrong time) is serving six months in jail. He has a job at the county nursing home, for which he is greatful, but they have him working seven days a week. He has sixty days to go, but will have worked ninety days in a row without a day off. Is he protected under any law that says he should be granted a day off now and again? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, no. You can read more about the rights that inmates do have by looking at the following website: http://www.aclu.org/Prisons/Prisonsmain.cfm
