Can I be forced to work more than 8 hours a day (they pay o.t.) I am a truck driver/warehouse person. I have been threatened that it would be discussed with upper mngmnt. i work consistent 10 hour days and when family matters arrive, the company doesn't want to let me go home. i was told today after 10 hours, that I could'nt leave, I LEFT. :mad:can somebody help me before i quit,(been there 6 years).

Mandatory overtime is legal in all 50 states. Unless the time you are being required to work violates DOT regs, they can require you to work overtime and they can discipline you up to and including terminatinon for refusing.
