I will be getting a settlement due to a car accident I was in. Will I have to pay more in child support when I get this? The state is Ohio. Not sure what amount I will be getting. Ex makes $50,000 per year.

It depends probably what state you are in, but I believe that the kids may be entitled to a percentage of that money for child support as a one time payment perhaps?

You should first look at what the settlement is for. Usually, if it is based on damages to you like medical or personal injury, it is yours if you are up to date on child support. If the settlement is for some other category of damages, then that might be different.
