Hello
I have a question that I was hoping to get the correct information on. I work in NJ, therefore my head quaters for my location is in PA. I am pregnant and will need to apply for disability. I was told that in PA they do not have to pay for disability, but will allow time of leave. But isn't it mandatory in NJ?

What are my options?? Has this ever happend to anyone?

Please let me know.

Thanks for your help.

New Jersey has a medical leave similar to the federal medical leave.
The following website compares the federal leave to the New Jersey leave laws. http://www.dol.gov/esa/programs/whd/state/fmla/nj.htm

Information on New Jersey's temporary disability program may be found at: http://www.nj.gov/labor/tdi/tdiindex.html

I'm sure that the benefit is based upon where you work and live, rather than where the headquarters of your employer is located. Let me know if you have any other questions.
