My Employer does not have a Labor Law poster any where in her store. I have been there for a year and I have never seen one. Many employees question the things that she does but nobody knows the law. Should I be a whistleblower?

You can but there isn't any benefit to you. Instead, I suggest that you direct her to the http://www.laborlawcenter.com/California-labor-law-posters.asp For a very reasonable fee, she can order an all-in-one poster, thereby eliminating the need to have the myriad of posters that are otherwise required.

The problem is that the owner knows that we do not have any. Her HR manager has told her to get some and she still has not. Many of the employees that have been there longer than me say that she does not want them to know the laws. Because there are times she works them long hours and she does not pay overtime. In some cases some workers were asked to clock out and stay an extra four hours after there shift. So many employees come to me and I do not know what to tell them. They are scared to talk because they do not want to lose their job.

You can always report her to the state. However, from a practical standpoint, is this worth your time?
