I began my job with the state in February as a document examner and wan told that I was hired to do data entry, but 2 months into the job I was moved from the office area up front and put in the back of the prison with the inmates in a office called classification and was told that I would be learning a new job as it was changing. I am now responsible for the count of the prison and doing much more than data entry for the same wage and have also been placed in a more dangerous environment. My husband has since I started been arrested in another county and I have been visited at my work by the DCC officer and told to keep my mouth shut or else they could release my husband. At the time they were very aware of my fear of him but I was trying to hold them to their responsibility to buy his medicaiton while incarcerated. I work for the dept. of corrections and DCC is a division of ADC where I work. The office I am in now is air-conditioned sometimes but alot of the time it is not. I would like to quit and draw my unemployment but I am told that I cannot draw in arkansas if I quit for any reason. What recourse do I have other than finding another job. state of arkansas
