I'm a Prosthetist in Texas and work for a private practice. I get paid semimonthly (same pay) but was wondering on how overtime works for salaried employees? or should I get comp time? and do I have to clock in and out every day? Does anyone know?

I believe that you will fall under the exemption laws, exempting you from receiving overtime. You can be required to clock in and out, as long as that time is not used to reduce your pay in less than full-day increments.

Salaried is only a pay method; it has no legal status. Frankly, I don't know what a Prosthetist is but if your job qualifies for exempt status under the Fair Labor Standards Act, then there is no requirement to ever give you overtime pay or provide comp time.
