I worked for a university in Los Angeles for 4.5 years and was recently let go because of "reorginization" in my department.

It is a big university, so I was looking on their employment page for other opportunities when I found my job listed as two different jobs - basically my old duties were split up between two job postings.

Is this legal and what recourse do I have...??

I also had accrued 420 comp hours over the course of my employment I was previously told would be honored by my supervisor, but wasn't reimbursed by HR upon my termination. Can I get any of that $$ back?

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer!

Take Care,
T
