My daughter is falsely being accused of neglect/abuse. The DHS investigator came to her appartment, her lawyler and I were there. He told us that he could see how the accident could have happened.

We believe that there is someone that has pull with DHS in this situation. The Child's Father's Aunt just retired from DHS.

The father has had no real bonding ties to the child.

What should we do?

First thing you need to do is start keeping a record of anything that happens to your child while you child is with you or someone else have everyone make notes of any small thing( scratch or bump). You then try to find a party that has no attatchment to you or the ohter party and tell them what is going on and you feel that you are being treated unfair......do whatever they asked you to do because you are not hiding anything.I have been in your shoes and recording everything helped me out 100%.

Cooperate with DHS and show how she is a good parent, does her best, acts in the best interests of her child, and how most of all unlike the father she is there. Impress this on them. They may make some suggestions about how she can improve, but if the father is not there, that speaks volumes. Be proactive, conscientious and positive and emphasize the positives at every instance.

Even the DHS Investigator told us and our Lawyler that He was going to recommend that the charges be dropped. Well now he is saying that he never said that. But, Me and My Daughter and our Lawyler heard him say it.
