During hurricane Francis the company I work for was closed for a week. The owner called me on friday, a week after the hurricane to ask if I could come in for a few hours, put some things together so that on saturday I could drive up to Riviera Beach (30 miles) with my boss and work up there for the day.
Saturday is not a normal workday. My question is am I entitled to overtime pay for that day. I live in Florida.

Overtime is based on any hours worked over 40 in a work week, so they are not obligated to pay time and a half for Saturday work.

Let me know if you have further questions.
