I was terminated over a pancake and need some advice. I called my local state labor board and they said an employer has the right to fire for any reason, but there was nothing in writing stateing I had to pay for mistakes. even so I re-sold my pancakes :confused:

To clarify, you were an actual on-the-payroll hourly employee and you made a mistake and were fired?
If so, then yes, that is correct an employer can do that.
Your best move is to file for unemployment immediately since it takes effect the week in which you file.
