I was ticketed with an MIC and out after curfew. It's my first charge ever and my first ever run in with the police. I'm trying to find out what my charges will be (probation, AA, fines, etc) but I can't locate them. Oh yeah and I live in Nevada. If anyone has any info please share!

Not sure what MIC is, but this sounds like a status offense. You will likely have to appear in court with your parents and pay a fine, or possibly be sent to some kind of class or course or counseling. As far as things go, this is more like minor offenses. Juvenile charges do not carry over to adult records.

Either way it gives you an incentive to quit drinking at such a young age, I hope! :)

Depending on your BAC, your age I assume 16 or 17 b/c you were driving yet still a minor, you're probably looking at a suspended drivers license for 60-120 days, AA, and a monitored curfew. It's important to ask the judge how long the MIC will remain on your record, if your record will be sealed at 18, and if not how long before you can have it exponge(sp?) from your record. Anytime you're facing DUI or MIC you need an attorney, a judge will make an example of you if you don't have an experienced attorney at your side. This is of course just my experience with friends getting underage consumption in Ohio, and some time as an intern in juvenile court.

I wasn't driving, I'm 15 aaaand I think thats it. So far it seems I may get AA and possibly some kind of probation?

Personally, I think that AA is a bit extreme for someone that does not have an actual problem with booze. Alcoholics have a serious problem, that I recognize. But a kid? Very unlikely.

Personally, I don't think there's anything any adult can do to force a kid to quit. It's all voluntary. If the kid doesn't want to quit drinking, you're SOL. Of course the kid is not doing his or her life any good, but it's their life to screw up if they want. They want responsibility, show them what they're already doing and ask them to explain maturity to you again.

What also helps is to get the kid an interview with firefighters and EMTs that clean up drunks. You know, when a drunk driver wrecks their car, it's ain't a simple gfender bender (usually). Nah, it's usually a hell of a mess. Show the kid the pics and read them the reports. Have them interview the firefighters and EMTs in person. Get the story in full detail and color if you can. Then let the kid think about it.

ooze is ok for those that know what their limits are. Very very few kids have any concept of "too much". Sometimes you just gotta be harsh with reality.

With your previous record, I don't know the citcumstances, but I'm assuming because you're on probabtion still that they were recent offenses.... I would recommned finding a good juvenile defense attorney. I'm betting that because of your previous offense that the judge is going to want you to serve some time in jail, because it looks as though probation has done nothing to control you're activities. And because of the charges I'm assuming you have also violated your probation. An attorney might help reduce your charges or help you plead to a lesser count that might only warrant some extreme community service. He may also make a plea that though jail time is warranted allowing you to finish high school might serve you better in the long run, etc, etc.

A few things, yours just aren't MIC, you have a MIP, and a theft charge, and you're on probation currently,

You'll soon be 18, something the just will take into account, and I hate to say this but the other problem is that as you said she was in fact a SHE. Pray you get the same just and he believe in equal rights, because I've seen girls historically get sentenced less as juveniles...

figured out what happen, just got back from court and they are sending me to another case, because my past record (3 m.i.c's, 1 m.i.p., and theft under 50 dollars.) because the third offense of the MIC turned into a class b misdemeador. so im goin to the adult court or somethin in denton county, and judge goodland from collin county court house said that, i could ethier get up to 180 days in jail, or 500-2000 dollar fine. if you have any advice that can keep me out of jail for this ticket please let me know.

what bothers me is ive straightened up, and im gettin punish when for when i wasnt thinkin right. and i wanna finish school.

im 17 years old be 18 in january.

another question is, is there any way i can get the theft ticket sponged off my record or all of them, money is not an issue.
