I am trying to help a friend of mine who has overstayed here. Need to
get contacts on some good lawyers who handle overstay cases.

Tough, Send them back to where they came from. It is up to the damn
immigrants to keep track of their own visas. When they run out then
they need to get the hell out.

Do what every "overstay" does. They somehow, miraculously fall in
"love" with a US Citizen. I swear, if i ever found a overstay that
actually fell in LOVE with another overstay, or illegal immigrant or GC
holder -- that person should get a medal of HONESTY. Funny how so many
people in immigrant communities just "happen" to fall in love with US
citizens usually within 1-3 months of them going otu of status. Could
that be coincidence?? Nahhh!!!!
And you wonder why the IS is sooo strict on issuing visas to people
these days.
