I live in Pa.My ex has not paid child support since last May.He broke his leg in a motorcycle accident.He has a medical excuse and is receiving cash assistance from the state.I receive social security disability.Domestic relations told me that while he is off work due to medical reasons,he doesn't have to pay any support and he will not be charged any arrears.He has gotten his motorcycle fixed and has no problem riding that.Does anyone know anything about the law?

You should ask that a portion of the cash assistance be directed to you for child support. If the domestic relations folks will not help with that, I suggest that you file for a court order to that effect. He has to be left with subsistence, but even at that, they usually will take a small amount out for child support.
