With four exceptions, anyone born on US soil is a US citizen. As parents,
you have no automatic "right" to citizenship. The child could petition for
you to immigrate. But not until the child is at least 21 years old.

The child will be a US citizen as per the 14th amendment to the US constitution.
However, having a US citizen child does *not* give the parents any special
immigration benefits. The immigration status of the parents does not change.
Once the child turns 21, he or she can sponsor the parents for a Greencard.

Hi,
Can someone advice my situation?
I am holding greencard for about 3 years (I need 2 more years to be us
citizen).
My wife is holding H1/B1 working visa. We are going to have baby in
about 3 months. The problem is her company is going down. She can
loose the job anytime.
My question is: is there anyway we can apply to get she stays and
work permission if she lost the current job?
I appreciate any advice.
